World Values Day - A Special TTF Symposium

World Values Day is a major international initiative designed to encourage people to think about the importance of values. This year’s theme is Values in Action, which is all about identifying a value that is most important to you and putting it into action. The Transparency Task Force has been working hard over the last few years to create a “framework for finance reform”. The purpose of this is to create the means by which we can collectively drive the positive, progressive and purposeful reform of the financial services sector. The framework is built around the 12 finance development goals, each of which deals with an important facet that needs attention. They cover topics that include culture, leadership, transparency and purposefulness. The overall aims and objects of the Transparency Task Force and our desire to improve the way the financial services sector works are closely aligned with World Values Day. We are therefore very happy to be running this very special event on World Values Day to help mark and celebrate the importance that values have in helping to drive the change that we wish to see. In essence we believe that much of the financial services sector has lost its sense of purpose, integrity and values and we are therefore seizing this opportunity to shine a bright light on the importance of remembering why we do what we do and how we should go about doing it.
